If you ask brides to chat about the day, you will find almost all of them say “it just went so fast”, ” it was like a blur”.
A moment in time that you can spend up to two years creating and it just flies right by you !
So here are my top tips to get it to slow down a tad.
1. When getting dressed, take a few moments with your Mother or special women in your life, before the craziness of photos start.
2. When your arrive before you depart the car, usually the girls will get out first, time for you and dad to have your last heart to heart before the ceremony. When walking down with Dad or someone special in your life, take a moment at a predetermined spot, to breathe, check your shoulders and flowers, breathe deeply again. Then look at the person you are with and share a moment with them, thank them, acknowledge them, then slowly start to walk again. This pause is also great for your photographer.
3. Take a moment to look at your friends and family as you walk down the aisle and during the ceremony as well. Look down at your flowers during the ceremony and center yourself, let go of all of the other details of the day and be in the moment, and breathe.
4. Including a reading or a ritual such as a hand ceremony before you exchange your vows gives you a minute to settle down and really get into the right head space, drink it all in at this time, and you guessed it breathe !!
5. Schedule just 5 to 10 min meetups for just you and your new husband before you enter the wedding reception – at the end of the couple photography session and also during the wedding reception. Make it fun and write a note and have someone deliver it to your partner at the scheduled time.

Here are just three factors to consider when contemplating a wedding in Noosa.
Booking your favorite ceremony location: You will need to book with Council well ahead. It’s not unusual for venues to be booked up to two years in advance. Remember Noosa is one of the most popular wedding destinations, not only for Australian weddings, but for tourists flying in for their perfect beach wedding.
Parking: Noosa Heads is best for smaller weddings, as parking can be a real issue, especially in peak periods, which in this beautiful part of the coast is most of the time! Parking can be a little challenging for the wedding party as well as your guests, so you may like to consider hiring a bus.
The weather – the wind: For this wedding, we were in Noosa Sound as it was way too windy on the other side of Noosa… and luckily the area was available. The wind can seem to come from nowhere when you’re on the beach. You really need to think of all the possibilities when planning styles for dresses and hair too. The last thing you want is for your day (and your photos) to be spoiled by a sudden gust of wind.
Noosa is a truly magical spot and if you’re well prepared your day will turn out magical too!
